Finding your centre in a changing world

Life rarely moves in a straight line. Whatever you face: a career, relationship, or sense of purpose transition, the feeling of being “adrift” is universal. Sometimes it will feel like disruption from outside. Sometimes it will feel like grief, anger, or guilt.
I am an ACA-accredited psychotherapist with a masters in counselling, a masters by research in developmental psychology, and 20 years experience as an executive coach and workshop leader for organisations. I am also an advanced contemplative practitioner.
Services
Who do I help?
Psychotherapy
I offer research-based therapy to helping you navigate life’s changes and challenges. Together we can discover how to find clarity, resilience, and presence in moments of change. Includes CBT, IFS, ACT, mindfulness-based trauma interventions. It is a sign of strength to commit to your growth, and to explore the subtle and often surprising aspects of who you are.
Executive burnout & stress
For 20 years, I worked with leaders in the boardroom. I saw that success often comes at a silent cost: burnout, a loss of identity, and a nagging sense that ‘is this all there is?’ My approach combines the strategic clarity of executive coaching with the deep emotional healing of developmental psychology. Move beyond ‘coping’ to rediscovering a life of purpose and presence.
Transformational team workshops
Research shows that team culture is the most important factor in how you work, and how well your organisation will perform. This is an experiential group exploration of the specifics of your team’s needs and skillsets. Bespoke programs depending on your needs, for instance: communication, values, cultural change, teams in crisis, systems and strategy, meditation, and contemplative inquiry for coaches.
Speaking
I regularly give talks on the intersection between psychology, Zen, and working with change in the world.
Past topics
- Presence: Hearing the sound of the genuine in you
- Healing: medicine and sickness

“Change is not something that we should fear. Rather, it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom.” – B.K.S. Iyengar
What past clients about Kirk’s coaching and workshops
A visionary force
“Kirk is a visionary force; an influential and passionate role model that can help others proactively move forward with their professional and personal lives. Kirk’s style is energetic, content- rich, thought provoking and often extremely humorous.”

Sensing the places in between
“I’ve worked with a few different coaches over my career and Kirk is a stand-out. Kirk can sense the places in between where there are possibilities for growth and freedom that I couldn’t sense as possibilities. He is deeply reflective and lets the silence speak, and for me this is where deep transformation has happened…Kirk offers a deep and kind safety in his coaching approach, backed with clearly rigorous training. I can’t recommend his work highly enough.”
